Trekking / Hiking boots
Gloves

Warm Jackets
Thermal were
Hiking pants
First Aid Kit

Note: Ankle height is ideal for preventing ankle twisting. Hiking with trailing running shoes, sneakers, and even flip-flops is possible, but trekking boots are the best option. PRO-TIP: Wear flip-flops at night when walking around the tea houses. Trekking poles are also helpful if you’re not in excellent shape or have a problem with your knees.
